More Mozart you ask?
- but really there's nothing better either for the Choir to sing, or the audience to listen to! This time his Coronation Mass, first performed on Easter Day 1779, about as exuberant as this extrovert composer gets.
CPE Bach was 5th child, and 2nd son to the rather more famous Johann Sebastian Bach - but clear the talent was genetic. The Magnificat is joyful, occasionally reminiscent of his Dad's own work in the B Minor Mass, and elsewhere - and well worth hearing, even if it's your first time.
Some more great upcoming soloists from the RNCM, and again accompanied by Jon Barton, the Choir will again feature in all its glory in the resonant atmosphere of Our Lady's Church.
